A world-champion freeskier and a leader in the fields of women’s design and environmental thinking, Alison Gannett has left a definite mark on the ski global community. A ski mountaineer at heart, she has organized, filmed, photographed, and authored several ski mountaineering expeditions: the first descent of the NW face of Hanuman Tibba (5980m); the first-ever ski expedition to Bhutan, and the historic women's retrace of Mont Blanc. She has married her environmental and ski careers, partnering with green sponsors such as Patagonia, Clif Bar, Osprey, and Fox River, and has an environmental, social, and educational focus for each ski expedition. In 2007, she traveled around North America with Clif Bar’s Save Our Snow Winter Roadtrip and to France and Pakistan for Chasing Glaciers, a multi-media documentary on the effects of global warming.

A lifelong environmentalist, Alison is the founding president of The Office for Resource Efficiency, specializing in education, policy change, alternative energy and energy efficiency to reduce global warming gasses, and the Save Our Snow Foundation, seeking to reduce and offset greenhouse gasses to save our snow for future generations. Throughout the winter, Alison conducts speaking engagements worldwide with her Global Cooling Ski Adventure Show, showcasing taking action on climate change through action sports entertainment, and plans her next trip from her home in Crested Butte, CO.
